Service is limited to checking in/out and cleaning the room; otherwise you don't see any staff, which was fine. You get a key for the whole house and the hotel is basically a house with several rooms. Note that if other guests are noisy, be aware you will hear everything. The rooms are big and decorated with a nice mix of classical and fairly modern. Price-value is OK — you might find similar quality for less, but the location is hard to beat. Access is very easy despite being on a hidden street with no signs; just look for Gelateria del Teatro and you'll find the hotel and the most delicious gelato. However, I found it unacceptable that after checking out early and leaving our suitcase for a late-evening flight, we couldn't use the toilet when we came back to collect our bags. There is no common toilet outside the rooms, apparently even for staff.”
